What is Oxyclozanide Powder?
Oxyclozanide is a salicylanilide anthelmintic, used for the treatment and control of fascioliasis in cattle, sheep and goats. It is formulated as an oral drench containing oxyclozanide only or in combination with levamisole hydrochloride or oxfendazole or as a powder to be incorporated in the feed.
Oxyclozanide is usually used in the treatment and also for controlling ruminants and fascioliasis. It is highly used in the treatment for goats, domestic animals. It is a type of salicylanilide anthelmintic. Oxyclozanide’s molar mass is 401.45 g.mol-1. It is used in various flukes controlling in the domestic animals. It is given as a oral form in domestic animals and after the oral intake of oxyclozanide. And it gets absorbed slowly by the blood streams. And after 24 hours the optimum concentration of blood is reached in the domestic animals like cattle and sheep. Most of the oxyclozanide products are been approved for the usage on dairy animals. Oxyclozanide is helpful in blinding with the plasma proteins and that is up to 99 percent totally. And this is excreted from beginning to end of the urine, feces, milk and bile. That is about 80 percent of excretion is done in feces and also in bile and the rest in urine and milk. It is not allowed to test oxyclozande on cats and dogs. They are highly used in livestock and they are narrow-spectrum flukicide.
