The Application & Function
The mechanism of action of vonimulin is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis at the ribosome level and also inhibit RNA synthesis at high concentrations. Mainly antibacterial, but also bactericidal in high concentrations. The antibacterial spectrum is wide, effective against G+ and G- bacteria, highly effective against Mycoplasma and Spirochaeta, and less effective against intestinal bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella.
