The Application & Function
The content of poplar in propolis is higher, light yellow prismatic crystal (crystallized from methanol), melting point 285℃. Soluble in alkali hydroxide solution, slightly soluble in ethr, ethanol and chloroform, insoluble in water. It is found in the seeds and stem bark of orchidaceae wood butterfly [Oroxylum indicum(L.)Vent.], the heart wood of Pinus mon-ticola Dougl, and the heart wood of P.Alstata Engelm. The content is higher in propolis. Poplins have a wide range of pharmacological and physiological activities, such as antioxidant, anti-tumor, anti-cancer, anti-viral, anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial, anti-allergic, etc. Besides, these compounds are widely distributed in plants with low toxicity, so they are a very important resource in the development and research of new drugs. [1] has a toxic effect on certain cancer cells.
Chrysin is the raw material of synthetic drugs such as anticancer, lowering blood lipids, preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
