The Introductction of Chloranilic Acid :
1. It is used to determine calcium in serum. Determination of strontium, zirconium and molybdenum. It can form stable salts with metal cations.
2. It is used as a reagent for the photometric determination of phenothiazines, catechins, o-aminophenols, quinine sulfate, and related cardiovascular drugs. It is also used to measure metal ions such as Hg2+by weighing method, metal ions such as Ca2+by photometric method and SO42 - and other cations by indirect photometric method.
