The Introductction of Dimetridazole :
Dimenidazole, also known as Dimetronidazole, is an organic substance with a chemical formula of C5H7N3O2. It is a white or slightly yellow powder that turns black when exposed to light, and is odorless or basically odorless. Dimenidazole, an antiprotozoal drug for animals, has been almost the only choice since metronidazole was banned. It can inhibit the redox reaction of amoeba and break the nitrogen chain; it is effective against protozoa such as Trichomonas, Trichomonas, porcine colonic ciliates, flagellates, and epierythrocytes; , Clostridium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Enterobacter spp.), etc., have significant inhibitory effects, and are equally effective for spirochetes between protozoa and bacteria. The Application & Function of Dimetridazole :
Dimenidazole is a broad-spectrum anti-anaerobic bacteria and anti-protozoal drug, and is an effective anti-histochoric and anti-pigment Treponema drug. It has a killing effect on Trichomonas, and also has a certain inhibitory effect on Coccidia.
It is mainly used for avian vibrio hepatitis, necrotic tissue, turkey histotrichomoniasis, poultry trichomoniasis, etc. It also has a good curative effect on bovine trichomoniasis.
Dimenidazole can also be used as a growth promoter to promote the production of pigs and chickens and improve the feed conversion rate. Metronidazole has low toxicity, is well tolerated by animals, and has no carcinogenic and teratogenic effects.
