The introduction of Cefadroxil
Cefadroxil is a semi synthetic first generation oral cephalosporin. Its antibacterial activity is similar to that of cefazolin. It is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is effective against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Escherichia coli, as well as penicillin resistant Staphylococcus. Oral absorption is good.
