Clotrimazole for use
Use 2: Antifungal drug, used to treat epidermal and deep fungal infection.
Clotrimazole, an organic compound with chemical formula C22H17ClN2, is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug with good antibacterial effects on a variety of fungi, especially Candida albicans. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect their metabolic processes. It has antibacterial effect on superficial fungi and some deep fungi. Clinical mainly for external use, treatment of skin mycosis, such as hand and foot ringworm, body ringworm, ear canal, vaginal mycosis and so on.
Clotrimazole is suitable for the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis caused by Candida albicans, trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton palpitum, epidermophyton flocculus and microsporum Canis caused by tinea pedis, jock itch and tinea corporis, and tinea versicolor caused by Malaceus furfur. It can also be used to treat paronychia, tinea palpitum and tinea capitis.
