The Introductction of Αlpha-Lipoic Acid

Alpha-lipoic acid is also known as alpha-lipoic acid. alpha-lipoic acid is a light yellow powdered crystal, almost odorless. Solubility in water is small, about 1 g/L (20°C). Soluble in 10% NaOH solution, soluble in aliphatic solvents. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, chloroform and ethe*.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a water-soluble and fat-soluble metabolic antioxidant, a vitamin-like substance.

Alpha lipoic acid improves islet function and glucose metabolism, reduces AGE formation and attenuates oxidative stress, apparently helping to prevent heart disease and strokes.
