Cefpodoxime is effective against the following bacteria:
(1) Gram-negative aerobic bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae (including strains resistant to ampicillin or amoxicillin), Haemophilus parainfluenzae,
(2) Moraxella catarrhalis, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Diplococcus gonorrhoeae, Proteus vulgaris,
(3) Proteus Rettgeri and Citrobacter SPP.
(4) Gram-positive aerobic bacteria: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus minor, Streptococcus sanguis and.
(5) Streptococcus salivans and other Streptococcus pathogenic bacteria, diphtheria bacilli.
(6) Anaerobic bacteria: sensitive to Gram-positive anaerobic bacteria, while the minimum inhibitory concentration of Gram-negative anaerobic bacteria such as Bacteroides fragilis is 3.13-200μg/mL.
