Neomycin is an antibiotic, which belongs to aminoglycoside antibiotics with streptomycin, kanamycin and gentamicin. The Application & Function of Neomycin Sulfate
Neomycin sulfate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. This product has good antibacterial effect on enterobacteriaceae bacteria such as Staphylococcus (methicillin sensitive strain), Corynebacterium, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, etc., but has poor activity against streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Enterococcus, etc. in each group. Pseudomonas aeruginosa and anaerobes are resistant to the drug. The bacteria have partial or complete cross-resistance to streptomycin, neomycin, kanamycin and gentamicin.
