The Introductction of Benzoctamine Hydrochloride:
The Application & Function of Benzoctamine Hydrochloride:
1. Ultraviolet absorber. Mainly used in sunscreen and tanning cosmetics, it is chemically stable to light and air, safe for the skin, and has the ability to form a film on the skin. It can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays in the 280-320μm medium wave light region in the U.V.B region. The addition amount is usually about 4%.
2. Local anesthetics, used for relieving itching and pain in wounds, ulcers and hemorrhoids, with a concentration of 5% to 20%, and also used as intermediates in drug synthesis and organic synthesis.
Topical use of benzocaine acts on the nerve tissue of the skin and mucous membranes, blocks the conduction of nerve impulses, temporarily loses various senses, and numbs sensory nerve endings to produce pain relief and antipruritic effects. The local anesthetic effect of benzocaine is weaker than that of procaine, and it can be slowly absorbed for external use, has a long-lasting effect, and has analgesic and antipruritic effects.
