The Application & Function of Methoxamine hydrochloride:
It can increase the systolic and diastolic blood pressure by increasing the peripheral resistance, but has no excitatory effect on the heart. It also applies to the prevention of hypotension and ventricular paroxysmal tachycardia before massive bleeding, trauma and surgical operation.It can also be used for post-operative circulatory failure and hypotensive shock caused by peripheral circulatory failure.
Application:
1 muscle injection is generally used 10mg ~ 20mg/ time, once /0.5 ~ 2 hours, children each 0.25mg/kg. After intramuscular injection, it takes 5 ~ 20 minutes to take effect and lasts about 1.5 hours. Extreme dosage, 20mg/ time, 60mg/ day.
2 for acute cases or cases where systolic blood pressure drops to 8kPa(60mmHg) or below, 5mg is given intravenously slowly. It takes effect immediately after intravenous injection and lasts for about 1 hour. Maximum amount, 10mg/ time.
3 Intravenous drops for patients with supraventricular tachycardia, 10mg ~ 20mg diluted with 5% glucose solution 100ml, 15-20 drops per minute, or adjust the rate and dosage according to the condition. When the heart rate slows down suddenly, the injection should be stopped.
