The Introductction of Cephalexin:
Cephalexin is a semi-synthetic first-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotics, which can be used in several bacterial infections. Cefalexin is an oral drug, and its antimicrobial range includes Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria. Cefalexin belongs to the first generation of cephalosporins. It has similar effects with other similar antibiotics such as cefazolin administered intravenously. Cefalexin is used to treat otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, pneumonia, bone and joint infections, cellulitis, and urinary tract infections. It can also be used to prevent infective endocarditis.
