Cephalexin is a semi-synthetic first-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotics, which can be used in several bacterial infections. Cefalexin is an oral drug, and its antimicrobial range includes Gram-positive bacteria and some Gram-negative bacteria. Cefalexin belongs to the first generation of cephalosporins. It has similar effects with other similar antibiotics such as cefazolin administered intravenously.
