Penicillin G potassium is easily soluble in water, saline and glucose solutions. Penicillin G potassium has a moderate antibacterial effect on enterococci. Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces bovis, Streptomyces candida, Listeria monocytogenes, Leptospira and Treponema pallidum are sensitive to this product. This product also has certain antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae and B. pertussis, and other Gram-negative aerobic or facultative anaerobic bacteria have poor sensitivity to this product. This product has good antibacterial effect on Clostridium, Digestive Streptococcus anaerobic bacteria and Bacteroides melanogenes, etc. It has poor antibacterial effect on Bacteroides fragilis. Penicillin exerts a bactericidal effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
