Oxytetracycline is a tetracycline antibiotic mainly used to interfere with and inhibit the synthesis of proteins, thereby producing microbicidal killings against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Rickettsia, spiral body, pig erythrocyte body and so on have inhibitory effects.

Main role of veterinary Oxytetracycline:

1. It has a good inhibitory effect on bacteria such as swine pneumonia, staphylococcus,anthrax, tetanus, Pasteurella, Haemophilus, mycoplasma, chlamydia, rickettsia(erythropoiesis)

2. For pigs with side worm disease, leptospirosis, swine lung disease, gas swell, gasp disease, swine dysentery, endometritis and mastitis in pigs.

3. It can treat white pheasant, Escherichia coli, Vibrio infection, umbilical inflammation and enteritis in young birds;

4. It also has a good preventive effect on aquatic vibriosis, squamous disease, and squid fin disease.
