The Introduction of Staurosporine:
Staurosporine has bioactivity ranging from antifungal to antihypertensive. Interest in these biological activities has led to a great deal of research work in chemistry and biology and the discovery of the potential for anticancer treatments. The primary biological activity of astrosporin is to inhibit protein kinase by preventing ATP binding to kinase.
