Introductction:
Calcium glycerophosphate is a white or yellowish crystalline powder, odorless, almost odorless, slightly bitter. Slightly hygroscopic in the air. At 130℃, loss of crystalline water formed anhydrous substance, which decomposed above 170℃. Dissolves in about 50ml25℃ water per g. At low temperature, it is more soluble in water, and the aqueous solution is alkaline. Insoluble in ethanol but soluble in glycerol. Citric acid or lactic acid can improve its solubility in water, but easily decompose when heated. It is often used as calcium fortifying agent for food, such as bread, flour, noodles and soy milk. Use less than 1%.
