The Application & Function of Mezlocillin
Mezlocillin is a commonly used benzimidazolium penicillin anti-infective drug in clinic at present, belonging to the third generation semi-synthetic β- Lactam antibiotics are effective against gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria and anaerobes. Their antibacterial spectrum, antibacterial activity and indications are similar to those of furbenicillin and aloxicillin. They play an antibacterial role by combining with bacterial penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) and interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.
