The Introductction of Moxifloxacin
Moxifloxacin, whose molecular formula is C21H24FN3O4, is a nearly white crystal powder at normal temperature, which is insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol and almost insoluble in acetone. Moxifloxacin belongs to quinolones, and is mainly used to treat adults (≥ 18 years old) with upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as acute sinusitis, acute attack of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, and skin and soft tissue infections.
The Application & Function of Moxifloxacin
Fluoroquinolone antibiotics. DNA topoisomerase inhibitors can be used to treat socially acquired pneumonia, acute attack of chronic bronchitis and acute sinusitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus, influenza bacilli and pneumococcus. It belongs to the fourth generation of quinolones and is a new generation of broad-spectrum antibiotics. This product has strong antibacterial activity against common respiratory tract bacteria, such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraham catarrhalis and some Staphylococcus aureus, especially against Streptococcus pneumoniae. It is clinically used to treat acute sinusitis, acute attack of chronic bronchitis) community-acquired pneumonia, as well as skin infection and skin soft tissue infection without complications. This product is characterized by almost no photosensitive reaction, good tissue penetration and high concentration in lung tissue. It is a good drug for treating respiratory tract infection.
