Aminophylline is a compound salt of theophylline and ethylenediamine. Its pharmacological action mainly comes from theophylline, and ethylenediamine enhances its water solubility. Insoluble in methanol, ethanol and ether, it has a direct relaxation effect on respiratory smooth muscle.
Function:
