The Introductction of Levofloxacin Hydrochloride
Levofloxacin hydrochloride, C18H21ClFN3O4, is the hydrochloride of levofloxacin. It is applicable to genitourinary system infections caused by sensitive bacteria, including simple and complex urinary tract infections, bacterial prostatitis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae urethritis or cervicitis (including those caused by enzyme producing strains), respiratory tract infections (including acute bronchial infection and pulmonary infection caused by sensitive gram-negative bacteria) Gastrointestinal tract infection (caused by Shigella, Salmonella, Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli, Aeromonas hydrophila, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, etc.). The Application & Function of Levofloxacin Hydrochloride
It is the left-handed body of ofloxacin, and its antibacterial activity is about twice that of ofloxacin. Its main mechanism is to inhibit the activity of bacterial DNA rotatase (bacterial topoisomerase II) and hinder bacterial DNA replication.
