The Introductction of Azithromycin
Azithromycin is a semi synthetic fifteen membered macrolide antibiotic.
The Application & Function of Azithromycin
It is applicable to the following infections caused by sensitive bacteria: lower respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia; Skin and soft tissue infection; Acute otitis media; Nososinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and other upper respiratory tract infections (Penicillin is a commonly used drug for the treatment of suppurative streptococcal pharyngitis, and also for the prevention of rheumatic fever. Azithromycin can effectively remove the oral and pharyngeal streptococci, but there is no data on the therapeutic effect of azithromycin on the treatment and prevention of rheumatic fever at present). Azithromycin can be used for simple genital infection caused by chlamydia trachomatis in male and female sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin can also be used for simple genital infection caused by non multidrug-resistant gonococci and chancre caused by Haemophilus duke (the concurrent infection of Treponema pallidum should be excluded).
