The Introductction of Sulfamethoxazole
Sulfamethoxazole, chemical name of which is 4-amino-N - (5-methyl-3-isoxazolyl) benzenesulfonamide, is an organic compound, chemical formula of which is C10H11N3O3S. It is a white crystalline powder, odorless, slightly bitter, almost insoluble in water, and easily soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide test solution or ammonia test solution. Clinically, it is mainly used for urinary tract infection, respiratory system infection, intestinal infection, biliary tract infection and local soft tissue or wound infection caused by sensitive bacteria.
The Application & Function of Sulfamethoxazole
As an antibacterial agent, it has broad antibacterial spectrum and strong antibacterial effect, and is especially effective for Staphylococcus and Escherichia coli. It is mainly used for anti infective drugs to treat avian cholera, and for the prevention of urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infection, intestinal infection, salmonella infection, children's acute otitis media, meningitis, etc.
