Leucomycin Kitasamycin Sineptina is an organic compound with the molecular formula of C40H67NO14. It is a multi-component macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces. Its free alkali is for oral administration; Tartrate is injected. Its salt is white or yellowish crystalline powder, odorless, bitter, slightly hygroscopic.
The Application & Function of Kitasamycin Sineptina
The antibacterial property is similar to erythromycin, and it has a strong inhibition effect on gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus viridis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Bacillus tetanus, and Diphtheria. It also has considerable inhibition effect on gram negative bacteria, such as gonococcus, pertussis bacillus, etc. In addition, it can inhibit mycoplasma, leptospira and rickettsia. It is characterized by its effectiveness against most penicillin and erythromycin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Oral pharmacokinetics is similar to erythromycin.
