What is Amikacin ?
Interferes with bacterial protein synthesis and inhibits bacteria. Amikacin is a kind of aminoglycoside antibacterial drugs, which can inhibit bacteria mainly by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial proteins.
Amikacin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that comes in white or off-white powder or crystalline powder and is almost odorless. Its mechanism of action is to act on the ribosomes in bacteria, inhibit the synthesis of bacterial proteins, destroy the integrity of bacterial cell walls, and lead to the destruction of bacterial cell membranes and cell death. It is suitable for infection caused by Gram-negative bacillus and penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Its antibacterial spectrum includes a variety of gram-negative bacteria and a small number of Gram-positive bacteria, these gram-negative bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Proteus, Klebsiella, serratia and so on. Therefore, amikacin is often used clinically to treat multiple site infections caused by these sensitive bacteria, including bronchitis, pneumonia, bacterial endocarditis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, osteomyelitis, abdominal and urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, etc. When using amikacin, it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of hearing damage and kidney damage, so corresponding monitoring should be carried out.
Amikacin needs to be noted: First, amikacin lotion is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. The main contraindication of this product is not to be used in patients who are allergic to this product, otherwise it may cause serious allergic reactions, such as anaphylactic shock, which may lead to the risk of life of patients. Therefore, it is necessary to ask patients if they have a history of allergies. Second, it is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that can cause ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity, so renal function is often monitored. If the patient has hearing loss and abnormal kidney function, the patient needs to adjust the medication. This product is mainly used to treat severe traumatic infections.
The Introductction of amikacin disulfate:
Amikacin is an Aminoglycosides antibiotic. It antibacterial action against gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria and mycoycobacterium tubercolosis), especially manifest strong action aginst Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and proteus. It bacteria (including mhas the advantage, it can make stabilize inactivate enzyme caused by a large number of intestinal tract bacillus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is indicated for the infection due to bacteria no sensitive to other Aminoglycosides antibiotic.
The Application & Function of amikacin disulfate:
Amikacin is used as Antibiotic and Antimicrobial Agents, for the treatment and control of colibacillosis (bacterial enteritis) caused by Escherichia coli susceptible to neomycin sulfate in cattle (excluding veal calves), swine, sheep and goats
Amikacin Use for :
1 This applies to goods and other pseudomonas genus pseudomonas aeruginosa, escherichia coli and proteus (indole positive and indole negative), prue vuitton bacteria, klebsiella bacteria, e. coli, Mr Charest bacteria genera, acinetobacter and staphylococcus aureus bacteremia caused by, such as bacterial endocarditis, sepsis (including neonatal sepsis), respiratory infections, joint infection, infection of the central nervous system(including meningitis), skin and soft tissue infections, biliary tract infections, abdominal cavity infections (including peritonitis), burns, post-operative infections (including post-vascular surgery infections) and recurrent urinary tract infections.
2 Amikacin should not be used for the initial treatment of a simple urinary tract infection unless the pathogen is not sensitive to other less toxic antimicrobials.
3 Amikacin is stable to most of the aminoglycoside purified enzymes, so it is suitable for the treatment of kanamycin, gentamicin or tobramycin resistant strains of Gram-negative bacilli, especially infections caused by Prouvitonella, Serratia marxygii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
