              Doxycycline Doxycycline is Oxytetracycline 6 α- It is a semi synthetic tetracycline antibiotic obtained by deoxidation on the site, and the preparation is hydrochloride. Its mechanism is the same as tetracycline, mainly interfering with the protein synthesis of sensitive bacteria. It can specifically bind to the 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome at position A, thereby inhibiting the binding of aminoacyl tRNA at this position and preventing the extension of peptide chain; Doxycycline can also change the permeability of bacterial cell membrane, making nucleotides and other important components in cells leak out, thus inhibiting the replication of bacterial DNA.
