The Introductction of Florfenicol:
Florfenicol is a monofluoro derivative of synthetic thiamphenicol. Its molecular formula is C12H14Cl2FNO4S. It is a white or grayish white crystalline powder, odorless, extremely slightly soluble in water and chloroform, slightly soluble in glacial acetic acid, and soluble in methanol and ethanol. It is a new broad-spectrum antibiotic of chloramphenicol for veterinary use, which was successfully developed in the late 1980s.

Sensitive bacteria include haemophilus, shigella dysenteriae, salmonella, escherichia coli, pneumococcus, influenza bacillus, streptococcus, staphylococcus aureus, chlamydia, leptospira, rickettsia, etc. This product can be dispersed into bacterial cells through fat solubility, mainly acting on the 50s subunit of 70s ribosome of bacteria, inhibiting transpeptidase, hindering the growth of peptidase, inhibiting the formation of peptide chain, thus preventing the synthesis of protein and achieving the antibacterial purpose.
