Introductction of Fosfomycin Sodium:
At room temperature, it is a white crystalline powder with moisture absorption, easily soluble in water and exothermic when dissolved. Fosfomycin sodium can combine with a bacterial cell wall synthetase, blocking the first step of cell wall synthesis by bacteria using the material concerned, so as to play a bactericidal role. It has antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Proteus mirabilis, Bacillus typhimurium, Serratia, most pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus faecalis, some indole positive proteus, some Chemicalbook Klebsiella and Enterobacter bacteria. Fosfomycin sodium is mainly used in the treatment of sensitive Gram-negative bacteria caused by urinary tract, urinary system, skin and soft tissue, respiratory tract, intestinal tract and other sites of infection. It can also be used in combination with other antibiotics to treat severe infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as sepsis, pulmonary, meningeal infections, peritonitis, uterine adnexitis, intrauterine infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, osteomyelitis, etc. It can also be combined with vancomycin to treat methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections.
