The Introductction
The Application & Function
It is a semi-synthetic third generation cephalosporin, which has strong antibacterial activity against most GRAM-positive and negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Bacillus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, AEROenteric bacteria, Proteus, Diplococcus and Staphylococcus aureus. The drug is stable to β-lactamase.
It is mainly used for sensitive bacterial infections such as meningitis, pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infection, peritonitis, urinary system infection, gonorrhea, hepatobiliary infection, surgical trauma, sepsis and genital infection. Has been used as the first line of treatment for gonorrhea.
