Amprolium hydrochloride is a coccidiostat used in poultry, is a thiamine analogue and blocks the thiamine transporter of Eimeria species by blocking thiamine uptake it prevents carbohydrate synthesis.
Function:
This product is effective on chicken eimeria, tender and pile eimeria, lamb and calf coccidia. Aminoproline inhibited the growth and reproduction of the first generation of schizozoites, and the peak of effect was on the third day after infection. In addition, it also inhibited gametophyte and sporophyte of cycle. It can be used to prevent and treat coccidiosis. Its mechanism of action is that the chemical structure of aminoproline is similar to thiamine, so it can replace thiamine in the metabolic process of coccidia, causing thiamine deficiency and interfering with its metabolism. Aminoproline has a good effect on cecum coccidiasis. Ethoxybenzoyl methyl ester and sulfaquoxaline mainly act on small intestinal coccidiasis. Their combination (mixed feeding or drinking water) can expand the range of coccidiasis resistance, and is safe and effective.
