The Introductction of Amprolium Hydrochloride
Amprolium HCL is an acidic white powder. Aminapyrine competitively inhibits the uptake of thiamine by coccidia, thus inhibiting the development of coccidia. It is mainly used for the control of coccidia in chickens, but is prohibited for egg-laying hens, and can also be used in mink, cattle and sheep.
Amprolium HCL can competitively inhibit the uptake of thiamine by coccidia. In the cell, thiamine is synthesized as thiamine pyrophosphate, which participates in the oxidative decarboxylation of α-keto acid in the process of sugar metabolism and is a coenzyme in the α-keto acid dehydrogenase system, and because aminapyrine lacks the hydroxyethyl group of thiamine, it cannot be pyrophosphorylated, so that many reactions cannot be carried out, which hinders the process of sugar metabolism in the cells of coccidia and inhibits the development of coccidia.
The peak effect of Amprolium HCL on chicken coccidia is to prevent the formation of cleistothecae by the 1st generation cleistothecae, in addition, it also has an inhibitory effect on coccidia with sexual cycle and oocysts formed by spores.
The Application & Function of Amprolium Hydrochloride
Amprolium HCL used for chickens, rabbits, calves and lambs. It is effective against Eimeria soft and heap-shaped coccidia in chickens and coccidia in lambs and calves.
Amprolium HCL is the main anticoccidial drug for egg-laying hens.
