The Introductction of Tetracycline hydrochloride:
Tetracycline is an antibiotic catalyzed by aureomycin dehalogenation biosynthesis, low toxicity, as early as 1948 began to be used in clinical. It is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic agent and has bactericidal effect at high concentration. In addition to the common gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria Chemicalbook and anaerobic bacteria, most rickettsia, mycoplasma, chlamydia, mycobacterium atypical, spirochetes are also sensitive to this product. The effect of this product on gram-positive bacteria is better than gram-negative bacteria, but enterococcus is resistant to it.
The Application & Function of Tetracycline hydrochloride:
1. Tetracycline is the drug of choice for the treatment of the following diseases :
(1) rickettsial disease, including epidemic typhus, endemic typhus, rocky mountain fever, tsutsugamushi, rickettsial pneumonia and Q fever;
(2) Mycoplasma infection such as mycoplasma pneumonia, urethritis caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum;
(3) Chlamydia infection, including chlamydia pneumonia, psittacosis, venereal lymphogranuloma and chlamydia trachomatis infection;
(4) Chemicalbook relapsing fever caused by spirochete;
(5) Brucellosis (need to be combined with aminoglycosides);
(6) Cholera;
(7) Tulareh caused by rabbit fever;
(8) plague caused by Yersinia pestis.
2. Tetracycline can also be used for the treatment of tetanus allergic to penicillin antibiotics, gas gangrene, yaws, syphilis, gonorrhea, non-gonococcal urethritis and leptospirosis.
3. It can also be used for the treatment of acne with significant inflammatory response.
